2 drivers among 3 killed in Natore road accident

NATORE, May 8 (UNB): Three people, including two drivers, were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on the Dhaka-Natore Highway in Sadar upazila of the district early Thursday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Police and witnesses said the Natore town-bound bus from Dhaka collided head-on with the goods- laden truck coming from the opposite direction in Hoybatpur area around 5:15am, leaving drivers of both the vehicles and a truck helper dead on the spot, and 10 passengers of the bus injured.

On information, a police team and a fire fighting unit rushed to the spot and took the injured to the district sadar hospital.

The bodies were sent to the same hospital's morgue for autopsy.
