2 get life term for killing boy in Kishoreganj

KISHOREGANJ, Aug 13 (UNB): A court here on Tuesday convicted two people and sentenced them to life term imprisonment for killing a boy in 2010.

The convicts were Masum, son of Saij Uddin, and Jewel, son of Amir Hossain, both residents of Shambhupur village in Bhoirab upazila.

The court also fined them Tk10,000 each, in default to suffer one year more in jail.

According to the prosecution, the convicts killed Rabin, son of rickshaw-puller Ramij Uddin, a resident of the same village, and left the body on a road beside Yusuf Ali High School on May 23, 2010.

Rabin's father Ramij filed a murder case with Bhoirab Police Station.

Later, police arrested Masum and Jewel.
