2 killed as truck hits bicycle in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR, Feb 4 (UNB): Two people were killed as a truck knocked down their bicycle at College Bazar in Birampur upazila on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Millu,45, son of Asiruddin, a resident of Cherupara village of the same upazila, and his nephew Anwar Hossain,35, son of Akhiluddin.

Quoting locals, police said a speeding truck hit the bicycle of the duo in the area at about 8:30 am, leaving Millu dead on the spot and Anwar critically injured.

Anwar was admitted to Birampur Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injures later.

A case was filed in this connection.
