GOPALGANJ, Aug 28: Two minor girls drowned underwater at Bandhabari and Khagbari in Kotalipara yesterday evening.
The deceased was identified as Marufa (2), daughter of Selim Golder of village Bandhabari and another Manisha Roy (1) daughter of Debobrato Roy of village Khagbari under Kotalipara Upazila in Gopalganj district.
Marufa was playing near a pond and one at stage drowned into the pond unknowingly. On the same day Manisha drowned in a pond near her residence in absence of her parents at around 3.30 pm.
