RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Apr 13: Two teachers of the Rajshahi University (RU) under science faculty were given 'Dean's Award-2014' for their outstanding contribution in research arena.
The teachers are Prof M. Khaled Hossain, of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department and Dr. Atiqur Rahman, of Applied Math Department.
The university authority yesterday morning handed over the award to them at a ceremony at the seminar room of the science faculty.
Addressing as the chief guest RU VC Prof. Muhammad Mizan Uddin handed over the awards while Pro-VC Prof. Chowdhury Sarwar Jahan Sajol and Treasurer Prof. Sayen Uddin respectively were present as special guests at the function.
Dr. Atiqur Rahman was awarded for a research article on Black Hole titled 'General Relativity and Cosmology', and Prof. M. Khaled Hossain was awarded for a research work on 'Poisoning of Arsenic on Environment.
