2 villages brought under rural electrification network in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Sept 7 (BSS): Electricity supply programme under rural electrification programme was inaugurated in two villages in Alamdanga upazila of the district here Saturday.

The villages are Ruitonpur and Hafania. Whip of parliament of Jatiya Sangsad Solaiman Haque Joardar formally inaugurated the electricity supply programme in these villages.

In this connection a function was held at Ruitonpur Mollick para with Ali Hossain, General Manager, Rural Electrification Board, Meherpur Pally Biddut Samity in the chair.

Alamdanga Upazila Chairmrn Helaluddin Ahmed, Kazi Khaledur Rahman, vice-chairman Alamdanga upazila parishad and Akramul Haque Biswas, chairman of Meherpur Pally Biddut Samity spoke on the occasion.

Meherpur Pally Biddut Samity of Bangladesh rural electrification board constructed a total of 1.367 kilometer electricity supply lines in two villages for electrification purpose at a cost of taka over 3.2 million.

On the opening day electricity connections were given to 176 houses in both the villages.
