20 injured in a clash in Gopalganj

GOPALGANJ, May 25: At least 20 persons were injured including a woman in a clash between two groups at Ghosgati under Gopalganj Sadar of the district today.

The injured China Begum (35), Md. Tahari Mollah (60), Md. Milan Mollah (19), Kibria Mollah (14), Md. Emdadul Haque (39) and Safayet Hossain (50) were admitted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital in critical condition.

According to local people, the clash began centering on a football match. Both groups used country-made weapons like Dal, Sorki, Kattra, Ramdau, Lattis and brickbats.

On information local thana police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

Two separate cases were filed with Gopalganj police station in this connection. Besides police administration posted additional police forces to avoid any further incidents.    alimuzzaman81@gmail.com
