CHANDPUR, Apr 15 (UNB): Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in separate drives seized 210 kg of Hilsa and 0.4 million (four lakh) metres of current nets from two launches at Chandpur Launch Ghat early Tuesday.
Tipped off, a team of Coast Guard launched the drives at the ghat from 12am, said Lt M Hasanur Rahman, commander of Coast Guard Chandpur station.
During the drives, they recovered 210 kg of Hilsa worth Tk 1.26 lakh from Srinagar-2 launch and four lakh metres of net worth Tk 1.40 crore from 'Allahar Marji' launch.
