2,100 farmers getting training under IFMC project

JAMALPUR, July 14 (BSS): Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) is providing training to 2,100 farmers under its Integrated Farm Management Component (IFMC) project.
A total of 42 farm schools have been set up in the district for the training.
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) sources said farmers of each school would take training for two days a week during their training tenure for five months course.
Under the project the farmers have been imparted training on crops production, pisciculture and livestock. After training they will form farmers clubs to launch an income generating programme.
Jointly financed by Government of Bangladesh and DANIDA the aim of the project is to develop farmers' organisation. Deputy Director of DAE Dr M Rafiqul Islam said the project began in the year 2013-2014. After getting training the farmers can make an ideal farm.
