281 houses come under power network

MANIKGANJ, Apr 18 (BSS): A total of 281 houses of Jamsha union under Singair upazila of the district have been brought under rural electrification network by Manikganj Palli Bidyut Samity (MPDS) on Tuesday.

Popular Folk Singer Momtaj Begum, MP, formally inaugurated the electrification programme at Dakkhin Jamsha village of the upazila as the chief guest.

Mahbubur Rahman, deputy general manager (DGM), Singair Palli Bidyut Samity was present the function as special guest while Md. Mizanur Rahman Mithu, Chairman of Jamsha Union Parishad was in the chair.

A total of 5.50 km areas of the union were brought under rural electrification network spending about Tk 7.35 million.
