3 big projects to be set up in Nilphamari DTM area

NILPHAMARI, Feb 5: The government has undertaken an initiative to utilise the land now lying unutilised in the Darwani Textile Mill (DTM).
Sources said DTM of BTMC has 108 acres of land in its ownership and possession in the mill compound. The mill was established on 20 acres of land and the rest of the land remained unutilised so long.
Nilphamari Deputy Commissioner (DC) office sources said to utilise the rest 88 acres of land of the mill, the government initiated to establish three big projects in the land mentioned above which include one high tech park, one Army science and technology university and a residential complex of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).
The high tech park would be established on 15 acres of land, Army science and technology university on 32.90 acres of land and BGB Battalion residential complex on 20 acres of land.
Sources said survey has already been completed and a team of concerned authorities visited the area.
