3 boys drown in Dinajpur, Sylhet

DINAJPUR, Aug 17 (UNB): Two children drowned in a waterbody at Kasba Road in the town on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Kabir, 4, son of Rafiqul Islam and Sifat, 3, son of Al Amin, residents of the area.
Altaf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said Kabir and Sifat slipped into the waterbody and drowned while playing in the afternoon.
Local people rescued the two boys and rushed them to local hospital where doctors declared them dead.

Another report from Sylhet adds: A schoolboy drowned while taking bath in a waterfall at Ratargul Forest in Goaighat upazila on Sunday morning.
The victim was identified as Nazimuddin, 14, a student of class-VIII of Jalalabad Cantonment Board School.
Locals said Nazim along with his 24 friends went to the waterfall around 11:00 am and drowned while taking bath with the friends.
Later, locals and his friends recovered him and took him to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead at about 1:15 pm.
