3 including wife get life term for killing husband in Pabna

PABNA, Aug 14: A woman with two others including her paramour were awarded life term imprisonment for killing her husband over extra-marital affair. Additional District Judge Munshi Md. Moshiar Rahman pronounced the verdict in a crowded court room at about 4 pm Thursday.

The convicts Khadiza Khatun, 28, wife of Md. Rezaul Karim of village Bhodra in Chatmohar Upazila, her boy friend Ruhul Amin alias Rabiul, 30, son of Lashkar Sardar of village Silandah in Santhia Upazila of Pabna and Rezaul Karim 32, son of Alim Mollah, of village Rokonpur in Atghoria Upazila in Pabna were sent to jail from the court room.

According to the case file Khadiza had illicit relation with Rabiul which caused a conflict with her husband. Khadiza along with her paramour Rabiul and Rezaul strangulated him to death in the house of the victim on August, 24, in 2011.
