3 killed, 19 hurt in Sirajganj road accident

SIRAJGANJ, Sept 24 (BSS): Three persons including a minor girl were killed and 19 others injured in a road accident at Goja Bridge area on the Hatikumrul-Banpara highway under Salonga thana of the district last night.

One of the deceased was identified as Sadia Khatun, 3, daughter of Bulbul Ahamed of Atrai area in Naogaon district. Identities of the others could not be known immediately.

Police said the accident occurred when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving two dead on the spot and 20 others injured.

The injured were sent to local clinic where another succumbed to his injuries.
