3 killed in road accidents

TANGAIL, Jan 21 (UNB): A lorry driver was killed as his vehicle fell into a roadside ditch in Analiabari area of Kalihati upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sohel Rana, 30, son of Montazuddin of Razzaqpur village in Sadar upazila of Naogaon district.Police said a North Bengal bound electric pillar laden lorry from Tangail town plunged into a ditch when its driver lost control over the steering leaving him dead on the spot. The body was handed over to his family members after autopsy.
Another report from Brahmanbaria adds: A minor boy was run over and killed by a tractor at Shahjadpur village on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Sarail upazila on Friday evening. The deceased was identified as Borhan Mia, 12, son of Abdus Sattar of the village.
Police and witnesses said a rickshaw carrying Borhan was dashed by a tractor of Tisha Bricks leaving him dead on the spot. Locals caught the tractor but its driver managed to flee the scene.
Another report from Bogra says: A bicyclist was killed in a road accident at Ramnagar village on Garumara Bridge in Sariakandi upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Montu Pramanik, 40, son of late Khoda Box Pramanik of Kuptala village in the upazila.
Witnesses said while crossing the road riding his bicycle a three-wheeler Bhotbhoti hit Montu from behind at around 3:30 pm, leaving him dead on the spot.On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed.
