300 rescued wildlife released in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Oct 2 (BSS): Officials of Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Division released 300 indigenous species of birds and different other wildlife in the city Wednesday.
The birds and wildlife included 85 herons, 160 munias, 12 doves and 65 eels and two turtles.
As part of their continuous drive against illegal marketing of wildlife, hunting and trafficking, the officials rescued the wildlife and birds after conducting drives in different areas of the region in the last couple of weeks.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division Helaluddin Ahmed, Divisional Forest Officer Mollah Rejaul Karim and some other forest officers were present at the releasing function.
