50 fall sick after taking food in Kushtia

At least 50 people fell sick after taking food at a wedding party in Bheramara upazila in Kushtia on Saturday night and early Sunday. Locals said, 50 people fell sick and started vomiting after taking food during a marriage ceremony at Farakpur village. The ceremony was solemnised at the house of one Abdul Barik at the village in the afternoon when people who joined the party, fell sick one after another with severe stomachache. At one stage, the condition of 50 guests deteriorated and they fainted after vomiting. The sick people were admitted to Bheramara Health Complex. Moshiul Alam, the resident medical officer of the health complex, said they fell sick due to food poisoning, according to UNB.
