LAKSHMIPUR, Apr 11 (BSS): At least 50 shops of Alexander Bazar under Ramgati upazila of the district were completely gutted by a devastating fire that lasted about two hours last night.
Mohammad Salaha Uddin, fire service station officer of Lakshmipur district, said the fire could be originated from an electric short circuit at 1 am which engulfed the shops quickly. On information, 3 fire fighter service units from Ramgati, Lakshmipur and Noakhali extinguished the fire after 2 hours' efforts with the help of shops owners and locals.
UNO of Ramgati Mohammad Delwar Hossain visited the fire affected Alexander Bazar this morning.
