51 bridges, culverts constructed in Mymensingh

MYMENSINGH, Aug 13 (BSS): District Relief and Rehabilitation Office (DRRO) constructed 51 bridges and culverts in the district spending Tk about 100 million (10 crore).

DRRO sources said, as the completed the construction work of the bridges, the peoples of the adjacent areas would get rural communication facilities for carrying their agricultural products to sale in the rural and upazila markets in easy and shortest times.

Bridges and culverts were constructed during the last fiscal year in 13 upazilas of the district under the supervision of the upazila Project Implementation Office (PIO).

DRRO office sources said meanwhile the bridges and culverts have already been opened for trafficking of the rural vehicles.

Of the total bridges and culverts 2 in Haluaghat upazila, 3 in Phulpur, one in Tarakanda, 2 in Gouripur, 7 in Sadar, 3 in Muktagchha, 4 in Fulbaria, 7 in Trishal, 6 in Ishwarganj, 3 in Nandail, 6 in Gafargaon, 5 in Bhaluka and 3 in Dubaura upazila in the district.
