6 killed in road accidents

MADARIPUR, Mar 5 (UNB): Three people, including a man and his daughter, were killed and another was injured as a truck crashed into a rickshaw-van at Kulpoddi Chowrasta of the district town Monday morning.
The deceased were identified as Azibar Bepari, 35, son of Mobarak Bepari, his daughter Tanjila Akhter, 13, and van driver Halim Dhali, 38, son of Shoyeb Ali. All hailed from Sabek Gobindapur village in Sadar upazila.
Another report from Manikganj says: A person was killed and five others were injured in a road accident at Manra in Sadar upazila Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 28, of Joyra village in the upazila.
Police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
They also seized the bus and the auto-rickshaw. However, the bus driver and helper managed to flee the scene. A case was filed.
BSS reports from Tangail: A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident in Kalibari gate area of Tangail town today, police said.
The deceased was identified as Uzzal Hossain, 30, son of Shamsul Haque of College Para area under Tangail Pourashava.
Police seized the truck but the driver managed to escape. A case was filed in this connection.
UNB reports from Sirajganj: A man was killed and three others were injured when a human hauler plunged into a road side ditch on Hatipara-Basapara highway at Mahishluti in Tarash upazila Monday.
The deceased was identified as Bishwanath, 45, son of Rajendranath of Bhargram village in the upazila.
