60-year-old dies as tree falls on him in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, Nov 09 (UNB): A 60-year-old man died after a tree fell on his head while he was cutting it at Charfatejangpur village in Ibrahimpur union of Chandpur Sadar on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Rahim Bepari of the village.

Nuru Dhali, brother-in-law of the deceased, said that Rahim was seriously injured when a Kadam tree fell on him while he was cutting it. Later, relatives took him to Chandpur Government General Hospital, where a duty doctor declared him dead.

Later, the hospital authorities informed Chandpur Model Police Station about the matter.

Sadar Model Police Station OC Sheikh Mohsin Alam confirmed the death.
