NILPHAMARI, Sept 10: Physicians of 33rd BCS cadre, who were appointed and joined in different vacant posts in the district's health sector, were ceremonially greeted in Nilphamari on Tuesday.
A total of 77 such physicians were accorded welcome in the conference room of Civil Surgeon's office building. Out of them 41 physicians are male and 36 are female.
Presided over by CS Dr. Sneha Kanti Chakma, the occasion was attended among others by GS BMA Nilphamari Dr. Sankar Kumar Saha, Sadar Upazila health officer Dr. Abdur Rashid, Kishoreganj Upazila health officers Dr. Shariful Islam, Dimla Upazila's Dr. ZH Siddique, Syedpur Upazila's Dr. Sultan Mahmud and so on. With the new recruitment of physicians, the total number of government physicians would reach 133 in the district out of the requisite post of 178. The local people hope the new joining would improve health service situation in the district.
