80 tolas of gold looted from three Savar jewellery shops

SAVAR, Nov 22 (UNB): Robbers looted 80 tolas of gold from three jewellery shops at Hemayetpur in Savar early Wednesday.
Dipak Chandra Saha, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station, said a group of masked robbers, with the help of three security guards, stormed three jewellery shops at Lalon Tower and Shopping Complex near Hemayetpur bus stand and looted 42 tolas of gold from Sonakkhi Jewellers, 35 tolas from Mamata Jewellers, and three tolas from Gitanjali Jewellers.
The incident came to light this morning after the market was opened.
