Abducted boy found dead in Cox's Bazar

COX'S BAZAR, Jan 23 (UNB): Police recovered the body of a minor boy, who was abducted from his residence on Monday, from inside a sack at Matamuhuri Bridge in Chakaria upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Al Wasia, two and half years, son of Shahab Uddin of Sabujbagh area.

Bakhtier Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station, said a woman, wearing black veil (borka), took Wasia away with her alluring him of giving chips on Monday afternoon and since then he remained missing.

Later, Shahab Uddin, informed the matter to police.

Acting on secret information, police recovered the body in the afternoon from near a bridge, kept inside a sack.

Police arrested Munni Akter for her alleged involvement in the murder.
