About 250 seats increased for 1st year Hons course at RU

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Sept 19: About 250 seats will be added to the 1st year Honours course under nine faculties of Rajshahi University (RU) from the academic sessions of 2015-16.

In last year academic session of 2014-15 a total 3,828 students took admission in first year under eight faculties.

The online registration for the enrollment test through Teletalk SMS will begin from October 1 and continue till 18 while written test will begin on November 9, this year.

AHM Aslam Hossain, Deputy Registrar of Academic Section of the university confirmed the news.

Recently RU authority has separated Fine Arts department from the Arts faculty and made this as a new faculty with four departments including Graphic Design, Oriental Art & Mural, Painting & Crafts, and Art & History departments.

It is expected that around 4,073 students will be admitted under nine faculties this academic year, Mr. Aslam also added.
