AGM of Faridpur Diabetic Assoc held

FARIDPUR, Feb 14 (BSS): Overseas Employment & Expatriate Welfare Minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain said the present government has taken up several steps in the health sector for improving the overall health services in the country.

He was addressing the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Faridpur Diabetic Association (FDA) today as the chief guest.

The minister called upon the affluent people of the society to come forward to help the ailing people of the society alongside the government initiatives. The present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has arranged the availability of the health services at the door steps of the people as well as setting up hospitals, appointing large number of doctors and also setting up medical colleges.

The minister also praised the activities of FDA which runs a hospital and a medical college for rendering services to the ever increasing number of diabetic patients and other diseases as well.

The meeting was held at the auditorium of Diabetic Medical college hospital chaired by its president Mir Nasir Hossain.
