Agro-technology fair begins in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Mar 12: A three -day agro technology fair titled "Agro-technology Extension," organised by Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE), Jhenidah district and Sadar upazila in association with Mujibnagar Integrated Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) started on the district DAE premises on Thursday.

Md. Shafiqul Islam, DC, Jhenidah was present as the chief guest on the occasion with Shah Md. Akramul Haque, DD, DAE, Jhenidah in the chair. The function was addressed, among others, by Zila parishad administrator Adv Abdul Wahed Zoardar, Principal Mahfuz Hossain and UNO, Sadar Julkar Nayen.

Sadar upazila agriculture officer Dr. Khan Md. Moniruzzaman delivered the welcome speech. The speakers said that the present government is working with utmost effort for the sake of agriculture so that the farmers do not fall in trouble. The chief guest inaugurated the 3-day fair at the end of the discussion. Later, the officials concerned along with the guests moved around the 20 stalls set up there by DAE and different NGOs including Dream Project, AID, Unnayan Dhara, etc.
