The Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will build at least one public toilet at all wards of the city corporation.
"We (the corporation) will build at least one public toilet in all wards of the city corporation," mayor of DSCC Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh told the media after inaugurating a new public toilet at Janapad Road intersection, Jatrabari in the city on Wednesday.
He said it has been a long demand of the city dwellers for sufficient number of public toilets at the crowed and important places of the city.
"Our initial target is to set up at least one toilet at all 75 city wards," he said.
Member of Parliament (Dhaka -5) Kazi Monirul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of DSCC Farid Ahamad and ward councillors of the area were present, among others.
