Awards distributed among meritorious students

FARIDPUR, June 14 (BSS): Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain said here Sunday that the present government has attached highest importance to education so that our young generation can become worthy citizens to contribute to bring prosperity and progress of the country.

The minister was distributing awards as the chief guest this morning at Kabi Jasimuddin hall to the meritorious students who got GPA-5 in SSC examinations of 2014 and 2015. The function was organised by Faridpur Khelaghar.

The function was chaired by Khelaghar president Altaf Mahmood while DC Sardar Sharafat Ali and Zilla parishad administrator Kazi Zainul Abedin attended it as special guests.

Mosharraf said despite the blockade call of some 'unpatriotic' political parties during the last SSC examination our students did well but not to that expectation due to disturbed situation created by those parties who do not want welfare of the students as well as the nation.

Referring to the parties who created obstacles to the examinees he asserted that these political parties should not have the right to do politics in the country.
