BADC to collect 2,165 tonnes of Boro seed from Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Jun 05 (BSS): Contract Grower office, a seed wing of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC), will procure 2,165 tonnes of Boro seed in the district this year.
Local BADC officials said five varieties of Boro seed will be collected. The seeds are - BR-14, BR-26, BRRI-28, BRRI- 29 and BRRI- 74.
Deputy Director of Contract Grower, Jamalpur, Khagendra Chandra Roy said farmers already harvested Boro paddy. He said the target of collecting Boro seed will be achieved as farmers got good yield this year.
