BOGRA, Mar 17: The 95th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated in Bogra on Tuesday in a befitting manner. The day was also observed as National Children's Day.
A colourful procession was brought out from the DC office premises and paraded the main roads of the town in the morning marking the day. Later a discussion meeting was arranged on the occasion.
Deputy commissioner Shafiquer Reza Biswas said, "We are pound of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as he sacrificed a lot for our freedom."
Our Tangail Correspondent writes: The 95th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated in the district on Tuesday.
Various government and non- government institutions, socio-cultural organisations and educational institutions chalked out elaborate programmes in observance of the day.
The district administration brought out a colorful rally with festoons and banners in the morning from local Shaheed Smrity Pouro Uddyan.
Local MP Alhaj Sanower Hossain, Deputy Commissioner, Tangail Md. Mahbub Hossain, Police Super, Tangail Saleh Mohd Tanvir, Administrator Zila Parishad, Tangail Fazlur Rahman Khan Farook and president of Tangail Zila Awami League Alamgir Khan Minu were present at the rally.

Agencies add: The 95th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day-2015 was celebrated in Rajshahi city and its adjacent areas on Tuesday amid much festivity.
Marking the day, district administration organised a colourful rally from the Laboratory School premises that ended at Shilpakala Academy ground after parading some of the thoroughfares. A large number of people including schoolboys and girls in colourful dresses joined the rally.
Afterwards, a discussion and prize-giving ceremony was held at the Shilpakala Academy hall room. Commissioner of Rajshahi division Helaluddin Ahmed addressed the discussion as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi Mejbah Uddin Chowdhury in the chair.
DIG of Police of Rajshahi Range Iqbal Bahar and Commissioner of RMP Md Shamsuddin, among others, also spoke.
Joypurhat
The 95th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day was celebrated in Joypurhat Tuesday in a befitting manner.
The district administration, Awami League (AL) and its front organisations, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, District Information Office, Islamic Foundation Bangladesh, different socio-cultural and professional organisations, schools and colleges observed the day with separate programmes.

The 95th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day-2015 was celebrated in the district Tuesday with due respect and festivity.
Marking the day, district administrations, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Islamic Foundation, Social Services Department, Jatiya Mohila Sangstha, Bangladesh Awami League and different socio-cultural organizations organized different prorammes.
Besides, a discussion organised by district administration was held at the auditorium of District Shilpakala Academy of the town at 10 am today. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abu Bakar Siddique presided over the discussion.Deputy Commissioner (DC) M. Ehsan-e-Elahi attended the function and addressed it as the chief guest.
