RAJSHAHI, Feb 3: A field day seminar on 'Crop Museum' established with varieties of crops developed by Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute was held at 'Palli Projukti Field' of Kadamshahar under Godagari upazila of the district on Sunday.
Presided over by Dr. Shafiqul Islam, Chief Scientific Officer of BARI, Rajshahi, Region-1, the field day seminar was attended, among others, by Dr. Mukhlesur Rahman, Director, Training and Communication of BARI.
Nurul Amin, Deputy Director of Agriculture Extension Department and Rabindra Kumar Majumder, former Additional Director of Agricultural Extension Department and Site Co-ordinator of BARI, SM Bayezid Hossain, Senior Curator of BARI, Israfil Hossain, CSO of Wheat Research Institute, Rajshahi, and Abu M. Musa, Executive Director of Prova explained to the farmers the cultivation process and benefits of 48 varieties of 26 crops of BARI stored at the crop museum at Kadamshahar.
Senior Scientific Officer of BARI Dr.Abdus Salam delivered the welcome speech at the programme.
More than 300 farmers, agriculturists and researchers attended the seminar.
