RAJSHAHI, Jan 26: In protest against the 'impetuous' decision of Bangladesh Cricket Board aiming at destroying the future of Test Cricket of Bangladesh, activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, Rajshahi city unit, formed a human chain in front of Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi Saturday noon.

Speakers at the human chain programme informed, due to impetuous and unwarranted decision of BCB, Bangladesh cricket team was on the verge of losing the Test status. They said, by giving a silent support to a draft proposal made by India, Australia and England in a meeting on January-9, BCB President has taken stand against the interest of the country. In accordance to the proposal, Bangladesh will not be able to play any Test match but would be able to play four-day matches with Afghanistan, Ireland, Canada and Arab Emirates, that is, Bangladesh will have no test status.

The speakers in the human chain requested BCB to refrain from such 'perilous' decision and said, Bangladesh has earned test cricket status after a long struggle and by no way it should be abandoned.
