Beautification works of Gaibandha Park nearly complete

GAIBANDHA, Apr 30 (BSS): Beautification work of Gaibandha Poura Park located at the heart of the town is nearly complete.

Gaibandha Municipality is implementing the work at a cost of Tk 15 million (1.50 crore) under Secondary Urban Infrastructure Development Project funded by KFW, German and government of Bangladesh, office sources said.

The beautification works include construction of internal road, stairs and ghat and development of lighting system side by side with installing concrete images of different animals like elephant, horse and zebra for the children.

Assistant engineer of the municipality Rezaul Haque said about 90 per cent beautification work had already been completed and the rest work would be finished by June 30 next.
