Benapole port opens after 6-day closure

JESSORE, Aug 3: The land port of Benapole has come alive after a 6-day closure and work abstention by the Customs following removal of its temporary tent by the Border Guard Bangladesh.
Port users and officials and employees of different office including Customs offices resumed their duties from the morning of Sunday after a prolonged closure. The land port went on for Eid vacation on July 27 afternoon. Export-import activities at the land port remained suspended on Thursday as the Benapole customs went on a sudden work abstention over closure of a temporary tent of the custom by the BGB men for which the port remained closed for six days.
