BGB detains 16 Bangladeshis along border

JESSORE, July 10: Members of 23 Border Guard Battalion arrested 16 Bangladeshis from Putkhali frontier under Benapole port police station while they were going to India illegally on Wednesday evening.
Of the arrested, 12 are men, three women and a 9-month old baby. The officer in-charge said the BGB men of 23 Border Guard Battalion made the arrest while they were going to India without having legal documents.
The arrested were sent to Jessore court on Thursday, the OC added.
