BKB disburses Tk 590m as agri loan in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, Feb 11 (BSS): Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Joypurhat region has disbursed Taka 590.7 million as agriculture loan in the district during the six month of the current fiscal year through its 29 branches.

BKB Chief Regional Office sources said, Taka 1.05 billion will be disbursed as agriculture loan in the current fiscal year.  A total of 8,629 recipients took the agriculture loan during the period from July 1, 2013 to January 31, 2014 in the district.

The loan was disbursed on seasonal crops production, pisciculture, livestock, agricultural machinery, agricultural industry, small and medium enterprise (SME), poverty alleviation, SME (cash credit) and other agriculture-based project.
