BNP-Jamaat panel sweeps RU Officers\\\' Assoc polls

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Apr 26: The pro-BNP-Jamaat officers of Rajshahi University (RU) won the Officers Association election, bagging 14 out of 18 executive posts including president and secretary for the 2015-16 term.

Dr. Mashiul Alam Hossain and AKM Nazrul Islam Shelley have been

elected president and general secretary respectively.

The voting session started at 8:00am at the university Juberi

Bhaban that continued till 2:00 pm. Ziaul Alam, Election Commissioner announced the election results at 5:30 pm.

The pro-Awami panel has secured 4 posts. They are Sayedul Haque as treasurer and three members Hasin Ahmed, Golam Mostafa, and Md. Rabbel Hossain.
