SUNAMGANJ, Dec 18 (UNB): A boat driver drowned as his boat capsized in the Surma river in Chhatak Sadar of the district early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Raju Ahmed, 17, son of Aftab Uddin hailing from Rajanpur in Dohalia union of Doarabazar upazila.
According to police source, Raju was sleeping when the boat capsized and he went missing since.
Later, a diving team of Chhatak Fire Service recovered his dead body around 11am in the morning.
The body was sent to morgue for autopsy.
