Body of youth recovered from Putkhali border

BENAPOLE, Feb 19 (UNB): Police recovered the body of a young man from Putkhali border area here early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Shariful Islam, 35, son of Halim Islam, a resident of Pirulia village in Kalia upazila of Narail district.

Officer-in-charge Apurba Hasan of Benapole Port Police Station said local people spotted the body of Shariful lying in the area at about 5:00 am and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

A case was filed in this connection.
