Body recovered from Kirtankhola river

BARISHAL, May 14 (UNB): River police recovered the body of a man from the Kirtankhola River in the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Kalachad Kumar Das, 50, a resident of the Basinda area under ward No.8 of Barishal city.

Md Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Sadar river police station, said they recovered the body from the river after being informed by the locals in the morning.

The body was sent to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said, adding that legal action will be taken after getting the autopsy report.
