Bogura, Habiganj road mishaps claim three lives

BOGURA, Aug 07 (BSS): A motorcycle rider was killed and another one injured in a road accident in Shilkoir area under Kahalu upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Al Hadi, 20, a student of Dargahat Degree College and hailed from Kallyanpur village under the upazila.

Police said the accident took place when a truck hit their motorcycle in the area around 10 am, leaving Hadi dead on the spot.

Injured Shah Jamal was admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

The truck was seized and a case was filed in this connection, the source added.

In Habiganj, two people, including a college student, were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a CNG run auto-rickshaw in Atukura area under Baniachang upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

The deceased were identified as Mukles Miah, son of Abdul Jabbar of Puranbagh village and Shakil Ahmed, son of Afroz Miah. Shakil Ahmed was a student of Brindaban Government College in Habiganj.
