Bogura, Jhenaidah road accidents kill two

Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Bogura and Jhenaidah districts on Wednesday and Tuesday night, reports BSS.
In Bogura, a truck driver was killed in a road accident in the Telipukur area of the district town on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Selim Hossain, 40, son of Nazrul Islam of Arjunpur village in Shibganj upazila of the district.
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway when a truck rammed into another truck that was parked beside the road from behind, killing the driver of the moving vehicle on the spot, said Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bogura Kunderhat Highway Police.
In Jhenaidah, a vegetable vendor was killed in a road accident at Pobhati intersection in Jhenaidah municipality on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Bimal Biswas, 60, son of Anil Biswas of Pobhati intersection area.
The accident occurred around 11 pm when a speeding motorcycle hit Bimal while he was standing on the side of the road after closing his vegetable shop.
Locals rescued him in a critical condition and took him to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Shamsul Arefin confirmed the matter.
