Bogura road accident kills couple

BOGURA, June 08 (BSS): A man and his wife were killed and another was injured in a road accident in the Tishigari area on the Bogura-Naogaon highway in Dupchanchia upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Moinul Hasan, 74, and his wife Raushan Ara, 65, residents of Akkelpur upazila in Joypurhat district. They lived at Mohammadpur in Dhaka.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dupchanchia Police Station Abul Kalam Azad told the news agency that the accident occurred when the driver of a private car lost control over the steering and collided with a roadside tree in the area around 6:30 am as the couple was going to Naogaon from Dhaka on boarding it.
