Book on Arakanese Muslims unveiled at RU

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, May 7:  The "Arakaner Musolmander Itihas (The history of the Muslims of Arakan)", a research book by renowned poet, litterateur and researcher Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Akhanda was unveiled at Rajshahi University (RU) yesterday afternoon.

Eminent sociologist and writer Prof. Abdur Rahman Siddiqui, as the chief guest, graced the unveiling ceremony. RU Writers Forum organised the programme at the Shahidullah arts building.

The programme was addressed by Prof. Kazi Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, Prof. Sayeeda Afreena Mamun, Dr. Muhammad Kamal Uddin, Dr. Iftekhar Alam Masud, Dr. Muhammad Sahal Uddin, and Prof. Mohammad Muhibbullah Siddiqui.

Poet and researcher Dr. Fazlul Haque Tuhin conducted the programme.
