Boro procurement going on in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Jun 10: Government Procurement of Boro rice and paddy has started in Nilphamari district. This year's total procurement target in the district is rice 19,349 mt and paddy 2,477 mt. Procurement price of rice is Tk 28 per kg and paddy Tk 18 per kg and acceptable moisture is 14 per cent.
District Controller of Food Nilphamari office sources said eight auto rice mills and nearly 250 husky mills have been contracted to supply both rice and paddy in the district.
Sources said upazila-wise procurement target is Domar upazila rice 4,348mt, paddy 391mt, Dimla upazila rice 4072mt, paddy 397mt, Jaldhaka Upazila rice 3331mt, paddy 4437mt, Kishoreganj upazila rice 651mt, paddy 319mt, Saidpur upazila rice 1970mt, paddy 204mt and Sadar upazila rice 4977mt and paddy 729mt.
