Boy drowns in Joypurhat

JOYPURHAT, Apr 02 (UNB): A minor boy drowned in a pond of Komor village in Sadar upazila on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Mohit, 5, son of Yusuf Ali of the village.
Officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Sadar Police Station Md Mominul Haque said Mohit slipped into the pond by their house in the afternoon while playing on its bank with other children.
After a frantic search, locals found him floating in the water body around 7.00pm and took him to the Modern District Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
