Boy slaughtered to death in Ishwardi

PABNA, Feb 25: A minor boy was slaughtered to death in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna on Monday night. Police recovered the body of the victim from a field of Mohadevpur village at about 9 pm on Monday. Police arrested the alleged killers in a raid in the village Monday night.

The victim Md. Shah Rahim, 7 son of Joglu Shah of village Mohadevpur was a primary student of BRAC school, police and the family sources said.

Officer in charge of Ishwardi police station Biman Kumar Das quoting the family members of the victim said Md. Russel, 25, son of Asadul of the village took him away from the residence Monday afternoon and killed him. The victim's parents informed police as their son was missing. On information of victim's family police caught Russel from his residence and according to his statement recovered the slaughtered body of the victim.
