Bringing youths under tech education underlined

NARSINGDI, May 25 (BSS): The Placement Conference and Skill Presentation 2015 under Skill and Training Enhancement Project (STEP) of Narsingdi Polytechnic Institute was held at the premises of the institute on Saturday.
State Minister for Water Resources col. (retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro attended the function as the chief guest while Principal of Narsingdi Polytechnic institute Sushil Kumar Paul presided over the function. Vice Principal of the Institute Abul Kalam Azad presented the wellcome address.
The meeting was addressed among others by Abdullahil Baki Deputy Director STEP, Directorate of Technical Education, Engineer Abdul Kader, General Manager of Pran RFL Group, Palash, Narsingdi, Shobrata Kumar Nandi, Deputy Director, Purchase unit-2 WALTON and Prof. Mohammad Ali, former principal of Narsingdi Government College.
The State Minister said, brilliant students will build a prosperous Sonar Bangla, a dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He stressed the need for bringing the youths under the technical education as the education making the youths competent for employment.
He asked the students for ensuring skills and make them fit for their future career. He said Bangladesh is progressing fast and it is going to be a middle income country by 2021 under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He urged all to work with patriotism and play a vital role to build a digital Bangladesh.
The State Minister also distributed certificates among 40 union level trained women (Chinishpur and Shilmandi union).
They received 15 days basic training on IT/ICT literacy under Learning and Earning Development project at Narsingdi polytechnic institute and Narsingdi Govt. College hall room arranged by Digicon Technologies limited.
