BSCIC to set up third industrial estate in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Nov 30: Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Authority has selected a land adjacent to Nilphamari municipality to establish its second industrial estate in the district.

The location of the proposed industrial estate is in the Notkhana area of Palashbari Union Parishad (UP) and 2.0 km north of Nilphamari Municipality.

At present there is a BSCIC industrial estate in the Syedpur municipality area under Syedpur upazila which is 15 km south of Nilphamari district town.

BSCIC chairman Mustak Hossain recently visited the proposed site at Palashbari UP for feasibility study. After visiting the side he opined that the place is suitable for an industrial estate as it has both road and railway connectivity.

He said intending entrepreneurs would be listed and registered to establish their industries.
